The next letter in our alphabet series is the letter I.

Tip: Remember that you do not have to teach each letter of the alphabet in order.

Here are some alphabet activities to teach the letter I:

Your child can practice tracing the letter I.

  • Create a letter scavenger hunt.

Simply print out the letters of the alphabet (we recommend laminating for durability) and hide them around your house or classroom. Students then search for the letters, practicing their letter recognition skills as they go.

  • Play "I Spy" and find objects around the house that begin with the letter I.

  • Create an alphabet book.

Give your child magazines and have them cut out words and pictures that begin with the letter I.
