LETTER M — HOW TO USE IT
Print the Letter M tracing worksheet and have your child trace the uppercase M and lowercase m on the guided lines. Encourage them to follow each stroke carefully while practicing the diagonal lines of uppercase M and the rounded humps of lowercase m.
As your child traces, practice the /m/ sound together and name familiar words that begin with M, such as moon, mouse, milk, and mitten. Have your child repeat each word and listen for the beginning sound.
For extra practice, have your child trace uppercase M and lowercase m with a crayon or marker before writing the letters independently. You can also ask them to identify the letter M in familiar words or compare lowercase m and lowercase n to help them recognize the difference between the two letters.
