LETTER O — HOW TO USE IT

Print the Letter O tracing worksheet and have your child trace the uppercase O and lowercase o on the guided lines. Encourage them to follow the rounded tracing lines slowly, practicing smooth circular movements while keeping the letters closed.

As your child traces, practice the short /o/ sound together using familiar words such as octopus, ostrich, ox, and olive. Have your child repeat each word and listen for the beginning vowel sound.

For extra practice, have your child trace uppercase O and lowercase o with a finger before using a pencil or crayon. Then encourage them to draw their own circles and try writing the letters independently. You can also ask them to look for the letter O in familiar words, storybooks, and alphabet charts.

This worksheet is a useful activity for preschool, pre-K, and kindergarten learners developing handwriting skills, rounded letter formation, and beginning vowel sound recognition.
