LETTER T — HOW TO USE IT

Print the Letter T tracing worksheet and have your child trace the uppercase T and lowercase t on the guided lines. Encourage them to start at the top and follow each stroke carefully, practicing the straight vertical and horizontal lines used to form the letter.

As your child traces, say the /t/ sound together and name simple words that begin with T, such as tiger, turtle, table, and tent. Encourage your child to repeat each word and listen for the beginning sound.

For extra practice, have your child trace uppercase T and lowercase t with a crayon or marker before attempting to write the letters independently. Remind them to include the small crossbar on lowercase t. You can also ask them to look for the letter T in books, signs, and other familiar print.

This worksheet works well for preschool, pre-K, and kindergarten learners practicing handwriting, letter recognition, and beginning sound awareness at home or in the classroom.
